If you've been wanting to get first impressions of the new MVC implementation of Zend Framework 2.0, or get firsthand experience with what's coming up in ZF, but got too busy (or lazy) to set things up, we have good news for you.
Starting from today, the Zend Developer Cloud Application Gallery offers 1-click installation of a fully functional Zend Framework 2.0 Skeleton Application on your own clean, isolated, disposable and best of all free Cloud environment.
It's true that Zend Framework 2.0 beta 1 is not intended for production yet - but hey, this is exactly what DevCloud is all about - start experimenting today with tomorrow's hot technology, without wasting any time on setting up a testing environment.
If you have a Zend Developer Cloud account, just deploy the new "Empty Zend Framework 2.0 Application" package on an existing or a new container. After a few seconds, you'll be able to start tinkering with Zend Framework 2.0 by pulling the deployed application using Git or by manipulating it directly through SFTP or within Zend Studio. The package includes an entire development snapshot of Zend Framework 2.0, so pulling it might take a while - but don't worry, it's a one-time step and we think it's well worth it.
If you don't have a Zend Developer Cloud account yet, now is the time to go ahead and request an invite!
